As part of the pre promotion for this year's Scottish Car Show we followed the SCS road show trailer across to Ayrshire for their cruise in June.
We hoped it was going to be a decent turn out and stay dry but hey, whaddyaknow it pissed down from the heavens pretty much all night long - but the guys and girls locally didnt give a flying fcuk about that and still made the journey down to the retail park for some cruise action.
With SCS PR girls Audrey and Heather handing out fliers and posing with cars the night started to look up and when some enterprising individuals decided to "warm their tyres up" things got interesting and reminded me of the glory days down at Strathclyde Park where burnouts were an everyday occurrence.
By about 10pm the gods of weather really took the hump and with the rain bucketing down we decided not to claim on our camera insurance and started to pack up for the night.
I'd have to say Ayrshire are leading the whole country when it comes to car fun. Between all the clubs and websites in the area putting on cruises plus the open days at businesses like Funky/Planet Performance they've really got their finger on the pulse.
Here's to more top nights at the end of the M77!
