Sunday, 17th of May 2009
For the past few years Knockhill has been hosting
rounds of the European Drift Championships (formally D1)
and TimeAttack series and year on year the crowds have
grown and grown as more people get interested in the motorsport.
This year we were blessed with scorching sunshine even if it was
a bit windy, so the cars were able to really get the tyres spinning
and the smoke flowing from the arches.
Local legends Andy Gallacher, Andy Napier and a load of other
familiar faces took it to the tarmac and put on a spectacular
show for the crowds spaced around the infamous Fife track. There were a load of spins, lost bodywork and high octane fun throughout the day and its one you should always have noted in your diary of events to attend.
We bumped into a the guys from TarMag and got talking to the team from Go Fast energy drinks (be sure to swatch the photos of their promo chicks in our gallery).
A great day out made even better by the sunny weather and the quickness of the new Kincardine Bridge!
