Friday, 11th of July 2003

Well the time had finally come and after having my tickets for months we were heading off for the 4-½ hour journey to Birmingham for Max Power live 2003. We set off after work and drove down over night. When we arrived at the hotel we noticed that there was 10 beetle convertibles in the car park (see pics below). I later found out that they were touring the country showing them off (what a cool job!). We had 4 hours kip then headed to the NEC for the first day of the show (Friday).

When we got there the first thing we noticed apart from all the stunning girls was the Evo VII from 2fast 2furious which was sitting high on a stage. After having a quick look round we headed off to the cruse strip where we seen some nice drifting along with an 890 bhp skyline and an impressive show put on by Mr Russ Swift. One lucky guy who after getting to fondle Olivia's chest to guess her bra size then got to attempt some of Russ Swifts manoeuvres. After the show we had a more detailed look at the cars and thanks to a nice chap on the Ecosse stand (sorry never got your name) we got to go into where the Peugeots were and got a few pics.

After a great night out in Birmingham (thinks to the Spearmint Rhino girls and Katie the vodka jelly girl) we decided to skip Saturday at the show but then returned on the Sunday. I noticed the civic from SG Bodyworx and went over for a chat and a few pics. How I missed it on the Friday I still don't know. There were a lot of impressive cars from the Saxo's to the skylines and Evo's. We headed off late on Sunday for the drive how with big smiles on our faces from a top weekend. Thanks again to my mate Stewart for doing all the driving and not getting lost once!, well apart from when we were walking to the car park coming out the NEC.
