Over the last month or two we've personally seen 3 people get hosed visiting the site (and by that we mean loading up the web page not actually downloading or needing to click on anything) and thats with fully patched and updated systems running current AV with daily signature updates. Reports across the web seem to point to the new owners of the site not giving a shit and allowing all kinds of dodgy infected adverts to run on the search result pages which bypass even the best AV and anti spyware software out there. Workarounds include using adblocking plugins for Firefox and stuff like that but even then theres the chance of some new 0-day exploit taking your PC's pants down and getting jiggy without a johnny. Time to look elsewhere like ISOHunt - just a shame MiniNova went the way of the dodo last year :(...
